When Fighting Chance opened in 2002, many oncologists viewed “complementary medicine” – such as yoga and massage – of dubious value. Times have changed. Yoga, for example, is widely viewed by many physicians as a stress reliever and as a healthy way to exercise.

Times have changed at Fighting Chance as well, and in 2013, under the supervision of Dr. DiScipio, we started a free yoga program, once a week at Yoga Shanti in Sag Harbor, one of the most highly regarded studios in the country.

By 2017, Fighting Chance will be running three weekly programs for some 30 cancer survivors. To participate, call 631 725 4646.
